Ego vs. Wisdom

I’ve reached that place in my life where my level of wisdom has bypassed the size of my ego. This allows me to see that I have something extraordinary to teach the world, while simultaneously realizing I have an extraordinary amount left to learn from it.

CJ as always, you nailed it. The very first poem of yours I ever read inspired me to “be worth it to me”, thank you as always for your insight, your wisdom and your genuineness. I am worth it and so are you.

Thank you so very much, Cindy. You’re right. We are infinitely worth it. 🙂

A glow in the dark thought. A goal to be achieved. I’m not quite there yet.
I agree that there is so much to learn, but I am not sure I am ready to teach.

Ah, but Rick, I think we each have something to teach all along the way! I learn things from friend half my age all the time!! I learn things from friends who aren’t where I’m at yet in life, and from friends who are where I want to be. I think our stories, wherever we’re at, and our willingness to share them for what they’re worth, are the most valuable thing we have to contribute most of the time.

I think you DO have things to teach. You’ve taught all of us in 5F how good the LIKE button feels. You’ve taught me about engagement, showing up. You’ve been a great demonstration of what a friend is in a lot of ways, even by reading and commenting here.

You have more to offer than you know.
