Glorious Hope

The sun still rose
on the day he and I
had to say goodbye,
confusing me.

She must not have seen
the painful storm
raging in my heart,
or she would have hidden
her shining face
behind blistery,
broken-hearted clouds.

Or maybe she exactly knew,
and showed up to remind me
that hope of a glorious dawn
was still fully alive…

…the kind that will fill the sky
with all the colors of heart warmth,
lighting every morning
of a life of days
when he and I don’t have
to say goodbye anymore.

The sun knows that a glorious new day is on the horizon. A sunrise represents the future: a new beginning, a new day, a new love, a new life. Where everything is possible….for you to make of it what you will. 🙂

    Sunrise = New beginnings.
